At Heritage Home Works, we understand that this is a big project; there is a lot of information out there, and it can be difficult to make sense of it. One of the things we enjoy most about what we do is the opportunity to educate homeowners so they can make the most informed decisions about building a new home. We are proud to share all the considerations we take even when building a Custom Home with a Detached Shop such as the one you see here. Our goal is to ensure you know we made the best decisions for your home and family. Here we show the initial design followed by first floor plan.
It was time to level the foundation.
The start of a very spacious basement has begun.
Time To Move In
We begin with the zero entry from the front porch, as well as the garage. The east facing front porch allows for good sun-rise views.
Ample Room
A wide sidewalk runs all the way around the home making it easy and safe.
Comfort Upon Entering
Living room area is spacious with luxury vinyl plank flooring running throughout. This eliminates flooring transitions that can be a trip hazard as people age.
Prepare Meals In Style
This open space kitchen has a glass pantry door that maximizes the space. Custom hickory cabinets with quartz tops provide cosmetic appeal.
So Much At Arms Length
The built in pantry with outlets allows for many of the of the countertop appliances to be used out of view and don't have to be put away.
Refreshing To Start & End The Day
We want you to most enjoy the master bathroom as a place to prepare for a wonderful day and relax after the day has gone by. Here we show a master bath with toe-kick lighting that provides indirect lighting that allows for a nice night light without blinding.
Come On Down
The wide basement stairway allows for a future chair lift, should one ever be necessary. Grab rails on either side help with stability.
The Woman Cave
This is one place to be envy of. Our client has created a large sewing room where many people can get together and sew. The south facing window well brings in natural light- especially enjoyable in the winter!
A Short Walk For More
We leave the house and follow the sidewalk to the shop building.
Better Than A Man Cave
The shop building is fully insulated and drywalled, and has a HVAC furnace and air conditioner to make an enjoyable workshop.
Outdoor Living
The back patio is partially covered and partially open. It allows for protection from the weather and also for grilling/smoking. On the left side you can see the shop building.
